The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.” This describes our situation at St Martin de Porres. We have over 200 bags of clothes waiting to be opened and put on hangers. We now have air conditioning. Anyone wishing to volunteer please come on Tuesday from 7 am to 11 am. Why Tuesday? Because we don't open for distribution of food and clothes on Tuesday so a new person can get an idea of what we do without the crush of people wanting.
The Bible verse of Mathew 9:36 to 10:3 ends with this admonition: " Freely you have received; freely give."
St Martin is all volunteer and food and clothing are given free. We hate turning away new donations, but at this time we have a two week moratorium due to the volume of stuff we have in our clothing area.

With the Foodbank shutting down for the week, we will be closed as well.

Services will resume on June 3rd.

We need volunteers. Our cup runneth over with clothes. If anyone wishes to help, the job is to take clothing donations out of bags and put them on hangers. We work at this from 7 am to 11 am on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. This is volunteer so you set your own time to come in. Any high school or college students needing service hours are welcome as well. Contact me if you have any questions.
