Our Story

R.Y.F. Programs: Foster Care: RYF provides foster care to roughly 150 children per year. RYf has Specialized, Traditional and Relative foster care. The average time spent in foster care is 2 years.

Intensive Placement Stabilization (IPS): RYF contracts with DCFS to provide intensive therapeutic services to children in foster care who may be having a difficult time managing their feelings and behavior. Through this program the child is assigned an IPS worker who will meet with them on a regular basis and assist them with coping skills and various other issues that may be impacting their placement. This is generally a short term service but can be extended up to a year.

Intact Family Services: RYF works with families referred by DCFS who are in need of services while working to maintain the placement of their children in their home rather than foster care. Often the family just needs short term intervention and assistance and can do this while their children remain with them or in the short term care of a family member.

Therapy: RYF has 4 full time therapists who work with the children and families that we come into contact with through our various programs. These therapists often go to the home and/or meet with their clients in the community.
