September is Su***de Prevention Awareness Month. ๐๐ฉต
Knowing the warning signs can help save a life. Persistent sadness, withdrawing from others, talking about hopelessness, feeling like a burden, or saying goodbye/giving away belongings are signs that someone may be struggling and should not be ignored.
The STCC Police Department encourages our campus community to check in, speak up, and reach out. A conversation, a listening ear, or simply letting someone know they are not alone can make a difference.
Massachusetts offers free, confidential support through the 988 Su***de & Crisis Lifeline. Call or text 988 anytime, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, if you or someone you know is experiencing emotional distress or suicidal thoughts.
In the event of an immediate or life-threatening emergency, call 911.
Remember You matter. You are not alone. Your story isnโt over.
