This week, in honor of National Police Week, members of the Springfield Police Department were joined by hundreds of officers throughout the state in embarking on the Police Unity Tour. Their motto: “We Ride For Those Who Died” reflects the never-ending mission of honoring Officers who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. This year, they ride in honor of two of our own, Patrolman Joseph Roessner (End of Watch: March 13, 1962) and Detective John Patrick (End of Watch: October 21, 2024).
