Veterans Treatment Court Success 🇺🇸
The Veterans Assistance Commission of Sangamon County is proud to recognize Chad, a United States Marine Veteran, for his successful completion of the Sangamon County Veterans Treatment Court program.
Last Wednesday, Chad appeared before Judge Schmidt, who officially entered into the court record that his charges were vacated following his successful completion of the program.
Chad’s accomplishments extend well beyond the courtroom. He earned a Master of Arts in Management with a 4.00 GPA, a Certificate of Completion in Commercial Electrical Maintenance, and a Certificate of Achievement in HVAC/R with High Honors.
Veterans Treatment Court requires much more than simply appearing in court. Participants commit to accountability, treatment, therapy, personal growth, and the work necessary to build stability and move forward. Chad not only successfully completed those requirements—he exceeded expectations throughout his journey.
Perhaps one of the greatest reflections of his success is what comes next.
Chad serves as a mentor to Veterans using his own experience to encourage and support fellow veterans working toward their own success.
The Veterans Assistance Commission is honored to serve as part of the Sangamon County Specialty Court team and to support veterans like Chad throughout this process.
Congratulations, Chad. Your hard work, perseverance, and commitment have paid off—and we are incredibly proud to see you take what you’ve learned and use it to help the veterans coming behind you. 🇺🇸
