Returning Cadets,
MONDAY, August 31st (Blue) and Tuesday, September 1st (Orange) are OCP uniform days for ALL LET 2 and higher Cadets.

The uniform is OCP.

This will be your first graded uniform day of the year. Please ensure you meet standards for hair, piercings, and facial hair (males).

New cadets and those who don't have a uniform issued yet will be excused from the uniform day.

Welcome Back, Hillcrest Army JROTC!

We hope everyone had a great summer! We’re excited to see all of our returning and new cadets back for the first day of school (Tuesday, August 25th).

Returning Cadets: If you already have your OCP uniform, you can wear it on the first day for extra credit. If you decide to wear it, make sure you wear the complete OCP uniform with proper grooming standards.

Think of it as your first-day outfit… just with more pockets. And if you wear your OCPs, there’s a pretty good chance you’ll end up in a few first-day pictures, so make it count!

If you don’t have your OCP uniform yet, don’t worry, wearing it is completely optional.

We’re looking forward to another great year of making memories, learning new things, and growing together as a battalion. We’ll see everyone on the first day, let’s make it a great one!

Join us for Unite on the Hill on TONIGHT, from 7:30–9:00 PM at the Hillcrest Football Field.

This is a great opportunity to meet fellow cadets, reconnect after the summer, and welcome our newest members before the school year begins. Whether you’re returning to the program or joining us for the first time, we encourage you to stop by and represent Hillcrest Army JROTC.

The event is free for all current Hillcrest students and will include games, ice cream, a dunk tank, 9 Square, co****le, spikeball, and more.

We hope to see all new and returning cadets there as we kick off another great year together.

New school year, new staff!

Here is an introduction to the team that is already working hard to make this year's Hillcrest High School JROTC program a success.

Our cadets work hard to become effective leaders and good citizens. The staff cadets have volunteered to take on the extra challenge of leading the battalion, planning and executing all activities, and being the standard bearers in both actions and deeds for all cadets to look up to.

Here is the release video for this year's drone game. We are hoping to add teams AND maybe even host a meet in February.

We have also added a Drone Aviation class this year that will prepare students to take the FAA Part 107 Commercial Drone Pilot exam and to become licensed commercial drone pilots.

REMINDER: Attention Returning Army JROTC Cadets:

Uniform issue will happen on:
Monday August 10th
Anytime between 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM

All returning cadets should attend to pick up their uniforms and ensure all issued items still fit properly for the upcoming school year.

When you arrive at the school, please enter through the main school entrance and continue into the Student Center. JROTC staff will be there to direct you through the uniform issue process.

Please arrive anytime during the scheduled time to help the uniform issuing process run smoothly. We look forward to seeing you there!

If you are a returning Cadet that cannot attend, we will issue uniforms once school starts.

New Cadets will learn how to EARN a uniform once classes begin.

10- 12 graders only - 9th-grade schedules will be distributed at Freshmen Orientation on the 20th

Note: Schedule changes will only be made for academic misplacements. Contact the counseling center with any questions.
