JCLC MMA 2026 (camp) is complete!

Hundreds of JROTC Cadets converged on Missouri Military Academy for 5 days of physical and mental challenges, leadership opportunities, and networking with Cadets from programs across Missouri.

In the end, the platoon (C-3) made up of Cadets from Hillcrest, Poplar Bluff, Fredericktown, and Southeast Kansas City placed FIRST PLACE among ALL TEAMS in the One Rope Bridge AND Drill Competitions. Our Company (Charlie Company) was also named, "Most Outstanding Company" overall!

We continue to push forward! Let's keep it up Hillcrest!

Another day, another accomplishment at camp for our Cadets!

This morning started with drownproofing at the pool before our cadets went to the lake and learned canoeing skills, raft building, and had a raft race.

This evening every single Hillcrest Cadet was brave enough to take the leap off the 40 foot rappel tower!

Our Cadets keep pushing forward at camp this week!

Today started bright and early with a Cadet Challenge. It consists of pull-ups or flexed arm hang, curl ups, sit and reach, shuttle run, and one mile run.

Then Cadets got to go through the obstacle course before learning about Land Navigation and getting out in the woods to find some points.

Tomorrow is Water Operations and Rappelling.

Our annual JROTC Summer Camp starts today! Hillcrest is in Company C, 3rd platoon this year.

Other schools in our platoon include Poplar Bluff, Fredericktown, and Southeast Kansas City.

The JROTC All Service Drone Nationals are complete!

Team 1995C “Swarmpocalypse” placed 8th overall IN THE NATION in the Skills Competition. As part of the Skills Competition, Cadets Kaleigh McKinnie and Ethan Burt placed 6th overall in the Autonomous (Coding) mission.

In the Teamwork Competition, Team 1995B “Platinum Hornet” advanced to the finals and placed 18th overall!

Make sure to congratulate these Cadets on an outstanding season!

The All Service JROTC Drone Nationals Day 1 is complete.

Team 1995C "Swarmpocalypse" is currently 6th overall in the Skills competition with one Piloting run to go.

Team 1995B "Platinum Hornet" is currently sitting inside the top 10 in the Teamwork Competition with 4 matches to go tomorrow before finals.

It was a great day 1! Tomorrow we will complete the meet and have final results!
