RAMP CIL's Executive Director, Jackie Sundquist, is a dedicated disability rights advocate who is expanding the vision for meeting the needs of persons with disabilities. RAMP's success in providing additional services beyond the five cores—skills training, peer counseling, individual and systems advocacy, and transition—is mainly due to its creative staff who find ways to meet consumers' needs. RAMP provides disability awareness training, employment services, training resources, IGNITE program for middle-school students, Teens in Transition (TNT), Project SEARCH, and youth advocacy. RAMP self-funds its programs and services by raising approximately $0.5 million annually through foundation donations, annual appeals, special events, and grant writing. Sundquist believes that for CILs to grow and meet the needs of their consumers and community, they need to invest in self-funding programs and services. RAMP's success is due to its ability to tell the true stories of the disability community and find funding sources that appreciate the impact CILs can make. Invest in RAMP today, and it's an investment forever.
