Free meals for school-age children will be served at the Effingham County YMCA from June 1 – July 31 (Monday–Friday only):

We are proud to support Camp Xtreme hosted by AlcineXtreme Fitness, LLC by helping provide tools and supplies that will create a fun, active, and enriching experience for local youth this summer! From fitness and movement to creativity, teamwork, and resiliency-building activities, Camp Xtreme is creating a positive space where kids can grow physically, mentally, and socially.

We are grateful for community partnerships that pour back into the children and families of Effingham County and help create opportunities that make a lasting impact.

From the beautiful animals to the welcoming atmosphere, it’s easy to see the passion and hard work that has gone into creating this unique local attraction for our community. It’s truly a hidden gem right here in Effingham County!

We love supporting local businesses and family-friendly experiences that bring education, adventure, and fun to our area. If you haven’t visited yet, be sure to check them out and plan a trip with your family this summer! 💚

Today, Effingham Family Connection was honored to help host the end-of-year wellness retreat, “Reset, Reflect & Recharge,” for our incredible school social workers. 💙

These amazing individuals pour so much into the lives of our students, families, and community every single day. From providing support during difficult times to being advocates, encouragers, and safe spaces for so many children, their impact goes far beyond the classroom.

This retreat was just a small way to say THANK YOU for all they do for Effingham County School District and our community. We hope today gave them a chance to pause, breathe, reflect, and recharge before the next school year begins.

We appreciate each and every one of you more than words can express. 💙✨

Effingham Family Connection Stands with Brantley County ❤️

In response to the devastating wildfires impacting families in Brantley County, Effingham Family Connection has donated $500 to help support those affected, especially the children and families, facing loss and uncertainty.

We are asking our community to come together and do what we do best which is support one another.

• Rincon Police Department (107 W. 17th St, Rincon)
• Effingham County Jail (502 W. 1st St, Springfield)

🕗 Time: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
(After 5 PM, a drop box is still available at the jail)

Can't make it? Expired/unused medication can be dropped of at anytime!

The Rincon Noon Lions Club, in collaboration with the Georgia Lions Lighthouse Foundation and Two Rivers Health Clinic, is offering free vision exams and affordable prescription glasses to those who may need it most.

This opportunity is especially important for individuals and families who are uninsured or underinsured (ages 10+), helping remove barriers to essential eye care.

Appointments are required; no walk-ins will be accepted.
