Today the Governor chose to put the Republican tax hike bill on the August ballot hoping that the primary election would let them pass this through without much of a fight. Unfortunately for the Governor, we will be fighting to stop the this from passing and letting everyone know that no one wants to pay a 13% state sales tax on every good or service they purchase.

Gov. Mike Kehoe will ask Missouri voters in August to decide whether lawmakers should have new power to expand sales taxes to replace the income tax and whether citizen-led constitutional amendments should face a higher bar for passage.

Call Secretary of State Denny Hoskins and tell him to do his job and certify the signatures. He is willfully preventing Missouri voters from knowing which map they will vote under during primary elections. When Republicans govern they bring confusion and chaos.

Missouri election officials can’t revise voter rolls fo the state’s gerrymandered map because the statewide voter registration system isn't ready.
