During Very Merry Main Street, Dec. 14, 11 a.m. - 5 p.m., the Lucy Bensley Center will host Local Authors and their books. The Concord Mercantile campus will also be open. The gift shop has many unique items that can be purchased. Shop at all the Main Streets and us, too!

Ted Turner, media mogul and founder of CNN, had a cameo in the 1993 movie Gettysburg which Turner Pictures helped produce. He appeared briefly as Confederate Col. Waller T. Patton and is shot during the Pickett’s Charge scene. He also reprised his role in the prequel Gods and Generals.

Come and find out about your past, or the town past, or just to have fun reading. We have the old local Newspapers where you can read them online, we have old High School Annuals some back to 1942 and other written books and information on G I Academy, Old photograph albums, old hand written journals And you can even research some of your ancestors from the Civil War as we not only have our records you can search, but also we shelves and a complete set of War of the Rebellion ~ Official Records of the Union Confederate Armies ( over 200 books) as well as 9 more shelves of Civil War information, on battles, marches, letters home and Maps. So come and enjoy a few hours in the past... or BETTER yet... come share your past with us !
