Thanks to a donation from a generous citizen, the reward money for Mikey's case has been DOUBLED. The reward is now $10,000 for information leading to the arrest and successful prosecution of the person(s) responsible for Mikey's murder.

We are asking our community: If you know something, say something. Even if you believe the information you have is insignificant, doesn’t seem important, or isn't relevant, it could be the one detail detectives need to move this case forward.

Little Yogi was located this afternoon, tranquilized, and went on his first car ride ever. Thanks to DNR and Springville Fire & Rescue for their assistance. Officers can confirm Yogi was indeed fluffy!

Yogi Bear was spotted this morning in the area of 50 N 1400 E, but he ran back up the mountain. Be aware! He may return on his search for a picnic basket.

If you see Yogi, do not approach or follow him (yes, he's fluffy, but we can't hug him). Keep a watchful eye on children and pets. Secure your garbage, pet food, or other potential food sources. If you see Yogi in your area, call 911 or our non-emergency number 801-489-9421.

One last reminder: "Hey Boo Boo!" is not an approved bear-repellent technique.

We had a blast at National Night Out! A huge thank you to Ream's Springville Market for hosting and grilling the delicious dogs, and Springville CERT for the cold water.

Springville Fire & Rescue and Mapleton City Fire Department tried their best to recruit us today with their fancy tall ladder, shiny red helmets, and nifty suspenders. They even brought out their version of "the big guns" (a garden hose that was red for some reason?). We almost considered joining them because, let's be honest, that water felt GOOD.

But after careful consideration, we remembered something important: without us, how will they get their beauty sleep? Better luck next year, fellas!

Hello Springville Crime Stoppers!

We had a GPS success over the weekend involving a hit-and-run driver who managed to turn herself in, without even knowing it.

Officer Bernal was dispatched to a hit-and-run after a suspect rear-ended a vehicle, yelled at the victim, and fled. Luckily, the victim snagged the license plate and vehicle description.

As officers walked out of the PD to search the area, they did a massive double-take. No search party needed! Parked snug as a bug next to a marked patrol car was our getaway vehicle.

Officers made contact with the driver, who genuinely had no clue she had parked at the police station. While we appreciate her bypassing the search party and delivering herself straight to us, driving highly intoxicated is never the right move—she blew a whopping .151 on the breathalyzer.

Pro tip: If you find yourself at a police station after a drunk driving mishap, you’ve reached the final destination. The driver was arrested, and her car was relocated out of our prime police stalls. Next time, call an Uber—our lot is full!

This little guy was found in the area of 1000 North 1650 West riding a balance bike. He appears to be about 5 years old and is possibly non-verbal.

***PRESS RELEASE***

On July 11, 2026, at about 0315 hours, Springville Police Officers and Medical Personnel responded to a Springville residence on the report of a stabbing. Personnel arrived on scene and discovered a 28-year-old male victim who had been stabbed and was in critical condition. The man was transported to the hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. Springville officers and detectives conducted an investigation, identified and located the suspect, who was arrested without incident with the assistance of the Utah County Major Crimes Unit and the Metro SWAT Team.

The suspect, Jaxson Clift, a 23-year-old male from Bluffdale, was booked on charges of Aggravated Murder, Aggravated Assault, Obstruction of Justice, and Criminal Mischief. The suspect and victim were recent acquaintances. The circumstances that led to the incident are under investigation.

Our hearts go out to the victim’s family and friends for their tragic loss.
