And that’s a wrap for the semester. On 17 May 2026, Seneca Battery Army ROTC conducted its Commissioning Ceremony with 6 cadets commissioning (4 AD, 2 NG). Congratulations on their accomplishment, it is the beginning of their Army Careers!

Congratulations are in order to SBUs newest 2nd Lieutenants!

A meaningful milestone on Sunday, May 17, as 6 cadets from St. Bonaventure University’s U.S. Army Senior ROTC program were commissioned as second lieutenants.

Held at the Regina A. Quick Center for the Arts, the ceremony included the Silver Dollar Salute, a tradition marking the first salute received as a commissioned officer.

The group represents the Seneca Senior ROTC Battery, which includes cadets from St. Bonaventure, Alfred State College, Alfred University, University of Pittsburgh at Bradford and Houghton University.
