Last week, DDRB Staff Kathy Robb, Keri Riley, Connie Tan (DDRB Board Member), and had the opportunity to visit the Community Living, Inc. (CLI) Respite Care Home. We were joined by Amanda Hurst, CLI Respite Care Home Coordinator, as we toured the newly remodeled accessible bathroom funded through DDRB's ARPA grant.
The CLI Respite Care Home provides 24-hour care, 365 days a year, offering short-term respite services for individuals with developmental disabilities. These services give family caregivers a much-needed break, whether for rest and self-care, medical needs, emergencies, or other life events, knowing their loved one is receiving quality care in a safe and welcoming environment.
It is always rewarding to see the direct impact of public funding and the partnerships that make projects like this possible. This renovation will help ensure the respite home continues to provide safe, accessible, and high-quality care for the individuals and families it serves.
Thank you to Community Living, Inc. for your dedication to supporting individuals with disabilities and their families every day!
