***Orchard Farm Fire Protection District Press Release: Woodland Marina Boat Fire (August 13th, 2026)***

At approximately 9:14 am, units were dispatched for a Docked Boat Fire at Woodland Marina. Orchard Farm Fire Protection District responded along with assistance from St. Charles Fire Department, Rivers Pointe Fire Protection District, Central County Fire & Rescue, Robertson Fire Protection District, Wentzville Fire Protection District, St. Charles County Ambulance District, St. Charles County Police Department, and the Missouri Department of Natural Resources.

Initial reports were 2 large boats involved in fire under a dock, with three additional boats and 1 jet ski also under the same dock. Off duty fire personnel were able to push the boat that was closest to the fire away from the dock which played an important role in prevent further spread to additional vessels.

The first arriving pumper arrived on scene approximately 8 minutes after dispatch and confirmed that two large cruiser style boats were fully involved. Crews began making access and deploying hose lines for fire attack. Fire suppression was performed from the dock and from the water utilizing fire boats. The fire was brought under control. The fire was contained to the 2 boats that were initially reported involved with fire. One jet ski and one pontoon boat appear to have minor heat and smoke damage. Two other large vessels appear undamaged.

Crews worked with harbor employees to place absorbent boom to prevent any runoff further into the marina or out to the river. At this time, the investigation into what started the fire is ongoing. There were no reported injuries to civilians or fire personnel.
