Happy Citywide Garage Sale Weekend!! ⛵️

Major props to Cool City Committee - St. Clair Shores for organizing this event each year and putting in the work for all of the communications for all to enjoy. 😎

With that in mind as the weekend closes out tomorrow, we want everyone to know that the Friends of the SCS Public Library are accepting puzzle and game donations to sell as a fundraiser at the Lac Ste Clair Art Fair in September.

If you have extras leftover that you would like to purge, please contact Doreen Lawrence, our President of the Friends via email at [email protected] or cell at (248) 635-3146.

PLEASE DO NOT DROP OFF ANY DONATIONS AT THE LIBRARY. The library is not yet open to the public and not equipped to manage donations. We appreciate anyone's generosity to support the Friends and our future library programming and initiatives.

📚 The Friends volunteered and hosted a craft session with our summer playground program yesterday afternoon at Veterans Memorial Park.

In total, the kids made 99 chickens and 40 vases! Special thanks to Flipside Liquidation for a generous donation of flowers to place in the vases.

Be sure to come say hello to us at Touch-a-Truck next Tuesday in the library parking lot! 🚒

👋 Hey Friends! Join us at our next Dine to Donate at our local Leo's Coney Island on the Nautical Mile in SCS! 10% of all sales will be donated to help support library remodeling needs. Come say hey to some of our volunteers and let's get excited together for the anticipated announcement of the library reopening! These fundraisers have been extremely helpful to local businesses (especially Nautical Mile during construction) and as a way to continue to raise funds while the library has been closed. ⛵️
