A favorite argument of the opposition against the Citizen Only Voting Amendment is that non-citizen voting isn't a problem and never will be. In the coming weeks, we will dive into all of the opposition's myths but for now, let's just leave this here..."never" is seeming closer than ever.

Councilmember Hugo Soto-Martínez, up for reelection, wants to put a measure on the Nov. 3 ballot that would allow the council to let noncitizens vote in local elections.

Today is a historic day for Michigan.

Americans for Citizen Only Voting Michigan has officially submitted more than 750,000 petition signatures to put the Citizen Only Voting amendment on the ballot.

This incredible milestone was made possible by thousands of volunteers who dedicated thousands of hours collecting signatures across our state. They braved heat, wind, rain, and even frigid, below-zero temperatures to make this happen.

We are also incredibly thankful for the donors whose financial support funded the materials and organization needed to reach communities in every corner of Michigan.

This is what grassroots action looks like.

There is more work ahead, but today we celebrate the dedication, sacrifice, and generosity that brought us to this moment.
