MY HUSBAND CREATED A NEW SCHEDULE FOR ME TO 'BECOME A BETTER WIFE' — I TAUGHT HIM A GOOD LESSON IN RESPONSE
So, Jake and I had a pretty solid marriage for the first few years—until he started hanging out with this guy from work, Steve. Steve was this loudmouth from Jake's work, with no girlfriend, no wife, but he somehow knew everything about marriage. And Jake? He started listening. Suddenly, he's coming home with all these "tips" Steve gave him.
Then one day, Jake walks in with this stack of papers, grinning like he just cracked the code to life. He hands it to me, I look down and see the title: "Lisa's Weekly Routine for Becoming a Better Wife." My jaw just about hit the floor. Jake had actually gone ahead and written down a whole schedule for me, based on Steve’s "brilliant" ideas.
The list was INSANE. I'm supposed to wake up at 5 AM every day, make Jake breakfast, then head to the gym to "stay in shape." After that, I'm supposed to clean the house, do laundry, cook dinner, and make snacks for him and his friends when they come over. I was beyond mad, but I didn't let it show. Instead, I smiled and said, "Sure, babe, I'll get right on it."

So, Jake and I had been dating for two years, and we finally decided to move in together. We’d planned everything—how we’d arrange the furniture, maybe even get a dog. I packed up my place, and Sara, my best friend, came to help me move.
The big day came, and I drove up to Jake's house, U-Haul packed and ready. But as soon as I arrived, something felt off. Jake's mom, Mrs. Henderson, was standing on the porch with her arms crossed, looking like she was ready to stop a parade. She shot me a look and said, "There's been a change of plans."

I VISITED MY FATHER'S GRAVE AND SAW A TOMBSTONE WITH MY PHOTO AND NAME NEARBY – THE TRUTH LEFT ME SPEECHLESS.
When my father died two years ago, it felt like a part of me was buried with him. The pain was overwhelming, so I stayed away from my hometown, content with my mother visiting me instead. But recently, guilt began to gnaw at me, and I knew it was time to return and face the memories I had avoided.
Visiting my father's grave was somber but brought a peace I hadn't realized I needed. As I was about to leave, my husband, Andrew, gently squeezed my hand.
"Penny, look over there," he said, pointing to a nearby grave.

Daughter prays, "God bless Mommy and God bless Daddy and God bless Grandma and... GOODBYE GRANDPA."
"Why did you say that?" the father asks.
"I don't know, I just felt like saying it," the daughter answers.
The next day, the GRANDPA DROPS DEAD. "Wow," thinks her dad, "that's an odd coincidence."
A month later, at bedtime, the daughter says, "God bless Mommy and Daddy. And GOODBYE GRANDMA."
The very next day, the grandma passes away.
The dad begins to think this is more than just a coincidence, but he's unsure what to do.
Months pass, and one evening, the man listens as his daughter says her bedtime prayers: "God bless Mommy..." She then turns her head toward her father and says, "And GOODBYE, DADDY."

I clean houses to support my 9-year-old son, Oliver. It's not glamorous, but it works.
