“Missouri continues to rank among the states with the highest prevalence of domestic violence in the nation. Within Missouri, the City of St. Louis faces an especially severe domestic-violence crisis. In 2024, St. Louis City's domestic-violence victim rate was 852.9 per 100,000 residents, compared with 690.1 statewide, while its domestic-violence homicide rate was 7.2 per 100,000—4.5 times Missouri's statewide rate.”
