Our first-ever Youth-Led Funding Opportunity is now open for applications! This grant was designed and developed by our Youth Advisory Council based on what they feel matters most to their peers in St. Louis County. On our blog, hear from Youth Advisory Council members Yusuf and Katelyn about why this funding matters, who it’s for, and what they hope comes of it.

On behalf of our amazing Youth Advisory Council, we are thrilled to announce that the application for our inaugural Youth-Led Funding Opportunity is now open!

This one-year grant will fund programs that support youth mental health by offering art, recreation, and/or enrichment opportunities for youth in St. Louis County ages 5-18. Our Board of Directors allocated up to $150,000 for this grant, and organizations may apply for up to $25,000.

This funding opportunity was designed and developed by our Youth Advisory Council, made up of St. Louis County high school students. They determined the priorities and criteria based on their lived experiences and the needs of kids and families in St. Louis County, and with support from our staff and Community Health Commission of Missouri they will review and score proposals and make funding recommendations to our Board of Directors.

Learn more about the 2027-2028 Youth-Led Funding Opportunity at https://stlcsf.org/how-we-fund/youth-led-funding/. Applications are due October 23!

Today is , and we're joining others in raising awareness of this vital resource. We wore our 988 shirts and wrote messages of hope on the sidewalks around our office.

Taking care of your mental and emotional health is so important. If you or someone in your life is struggling, you are not alone. Anyone can call, text, or chat 988 anytime, 24/7, to connect with a skilled, caring, and non-judgmental counselor, who will listen, help with safety planning when needed, and connect you with additional resources.
