Washington University Student Advisory Committee for an Inclusive Community The Student Advisory Committee for an Inclusive Community (SACIC) works to promote an inclusive campus environment for all School of Medicine students.

Washington University School of Medicine’s Student Advisory Committee for an Inclusive Community (SACIC) is comprised of students from across the medical campus, including: Audiology and Communication Sciences, the Division of Biology & Biomedical Sciences (PhD programs), Physical Therapy, the MD Program, and Occupational Therapy. To accomplish its mission, SACIC will:
•Advise the Office of Educat

ion on steps to take to promote a safe, inclusive environment
•Monitor reports of transgressions to advise the administration on developing patterns impacting student safety and inclusivity
•Serve as an information conduit between the student body and the administration
•Advocate for student issues related to the medical campus culture
•Develop specific programming and events to raise student awareness of bias and the benefits of diversity

Submit your name, program, anticipated year of graduation and a brief statement of what you would bring to this group to Kelly Noll in the Office of Education at [email protected] no later than 5pm on Friday, November 6, 2015. The time commitment involves several meetings this fall and spring, as well as any working group responsibilities you want to undertake toward our projects and goals for this year.
