Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said he expects the Iran conflict to eventually be behind us, with oil becoming more well-supplied as a result.

Bessent made the comments in an interview with Axios as some benchmark Treasury yields sit at their highest in more than two decades.

OOO OOO, I KNOW! She's afraid of accountability!!! Well and her constituents!

U.S. Rep. Ann Wagner, R-Ballwin, refuses to debate her Democratic challenger, military veteran Frederick Wellman, ahead of the Nov. 3 midterms. The Post-Dispatch Editorial Board argues that this is familiar behavior from Wagner, and her constituents deserve better.

"In cycle after cycle, she has used tightly scripted public appearances and slick advertising while staying safely tucked away from direct questioning by her opponents, the media or the public.

"This is nothing new from Rep. Wagner, in other words. But just because it’s familiar doesn’t make it acceptable."
