What a first day at Bierbaum!

It was so wonderful to have our buffalo back in the building today. The hallways were full of smiles, hugs, and friends reuniting after a long summer apart.

Seeing our students light up as they reconnected with classmates and teachers was the perfect reminder of why this community is so special.

We have a feeling this is going to be our best year yet!

Bierbaum Elementary School is pleased to welcome Gracie Bondy to our early childhood team, where she will join Ms. Kari in our full day early childhood classrooms. Ms. Bondy is no stranger to Bierbaum, having served as a regular substitute in our EC classrooms.

Ms. Bondy enters her fourth year in education and shared her excitement about joining the program. Outside of teaching, she is married and enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and baking.

Please join us in welcoming Ms. Bondy to Bierbaum Elementary and the Mehlville Early Childhood team.

The Mehlville School District and the Oakville Chamber Of Commerce invite families of incoming early childhood and elementary school students to join us on Saturday for the Back-to-School Social!

Stop by Bernard Middle School (1054 Forder Road) from 9 a.m to 1 p.m. to meet new friends and school district staff, get ready for the 2026-2027 school year, explore offerings from area businesses, and enjoy a petting zoo and craft activities for kids! We hope to see you there! 💙

If you haven’t purchased school supplies yet, this weekend is the perfect time to do so! The Missouri Back-to-School Sales Tax Holiday is from Friday, August 7, to Sunday, August 9. ✏️📚🎒

This weekend, the state sales tax will be waived on items like clothing, school supplies, computers and calculators. This includes purchases made both in store and online!

Supply lists for the 2026-2027 school year are posted on your child’s school website under “School Information.” You can print or bookmark a supply list, shop online or at the store of your choice.
