Happy Fall ... Prevention Awareness Week! Falls are the leading cause of fatal and non-fatal injuries for older adults. They're also common -- 1 in 4 people over the age of 65 has a fall each year. Learn how to prevent falls:

-Exercise to improve your balance and strength
-Wear lightweight, supportive shoes with a rubber tread
-Get your vision and hearing checked each year
-Review your medications with your doctor or pharmacist
-Make simple adjustments to your home, like removing trip hazards, keeping lighting bright enough, and placing items you use frequently within easy reach

We're proud to now offer one-on-one and group therapy to residents of the Buzz Westfall Justice Center 💜

With the county jail dealing with staffing issues and crowding, the St. Louis County Public Health Department is providing therapists to conduct group and one-on-one sessions with detainees who are interested.
