Missouri Jobs with Justice

Missouri Jobs with Justice Building transformative power for social, racial, and economic justice in Missouri. Jobs with Justice is action-oriented.

During each year, members and organizations take the Jobs with Justice Pledge to "Be There" at least five times for someone else's fight as well as their own. That means joining picket lines, attending contract rallies and participating in other actions or demonstrations for economic and social justice. Pledgers are mobilized through meetings, phone banks and email alerts.

Allow us to reintroduce ourselves, our name is MOJWJ!!!

Maybe you met us at a rally or protest. Maybe you're a community activist or a member of a union or a congregation. Maybe you're one of those folks into making "good trouble" and holding our reps' feet to the fire.

No matter how we met, we want to introduce ourselves and invite you into the work!!!

Join us for the Missouri Statewide Welcome Meeting weโ€™re hosting on Monday June 1, via Zoom, at 6 PM.

This meeting will be a great opportunity to find out what's happening right now, right in your back yard. Plus, you'll get to connect with your neighbors real-time with real ways to take action.

Want in on the fun? DM us for the link ...

MoJWJ is back from Atlanta and FIRED UP ๐Ÿ”ฅ

Spent the last couple of days at Jobs with Justice's Workers Revive Democracy 2026 National Convention, convening with hundreds of labor organizers from across the country. We learned, strategized, chanted, and planned together in true solidarity.

Now we're heading back to Missouri, ready to do the work our communities deserve. The movement continues ๐ŸซกโœŠ๐Ÿพ

Public education advocates - have you heard the word? SURJ KC is now the EdEquity Collective!

While the name may have changed, the mission remains the same. EdEquity Collective is a group of everyday people organizing for racial equity in KC Metro schools, committed to building people power as accomplices alongside local grassroots efforts, and protecting access to safe and truthful public education for all.

Thatโ€™s why weโ€™re asking you to join us in supporting the EdEquity Collective in their first official action - the 6th Annual Teach Truth Day of Action.

There will be food, great speakers, calls to action, a short rally and more. RSVP here:

Urgent: SB1002 is a direct attack on St. Charles workers and families!

This bill could hit the House floor at any moment. It is a targeted strike against St. Charles Public Schools that ignores the clear voices of parents, educators, and voters who live there. School board elections belong in their own time, where the focus stays on our classrooms, not on party lines. We cannot let corporate interests and political maneuvering hijack our local democracy.

Tell your State Representative to stand with public school workers and families! Demand they vote NO on SB1002!

๐Ÿ—ณ๏ธ When we organize, we win!

Last night, Springfield, MOJWJ organizers secured a unanimous victory! The City Council passed a new ordinance capping individual donations at $2,825 per cycle.

As local resident Chase Blackburn put it: "This bill helps level the playing field... When people believe elections are fair, they are far more likely to vote and trust their leaders."

Community power in action! ๐Ÿ’ช

Today, we joined university workers at LiUNA 955's picket at Speaker's Circle and marched to Peace Park for a community picnic. It was a powerful reminder that when we invest in our workers, we invest in the future of higher education.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for this May Day celebration. The demand is clear: Universities must invest in their workers today and every day!
