Missouri Jobs with Justice

Missouri Jobs with Justice Building transformative power for social, racial, and economic justice in Missouri. Jobs with Justice is action-oriented.

During each year, members and organizations take the Jobs with Justice Pledge to "Be There" at least five times for someone else's fight as well as their own. That means joining picket lines, attending contract rallies and participating in other actions or demonstrations for economic and social justice. Pledgers are mobilized through meetings, phone banks and email alerts.

Music is powerful - it is storytelling from different perspectives that we translate through our voices, our bodies and our fingertips. A universal language that transcends barriers.

Black artists have always told stories of their struggles - and their triumphs - through music.

This Juneteenth, we can use music as a tool to help us heal from our past struggles. It can give us a language to use to help us find the words we are seeking.

While you enjoy the original song by Shawn Moses, take a look at a few of the songs that we think bring Black history to life. A perfect playlist to listen to as you head to St. John's Church - The Beloved Community for their Juneteenth Cookout - c’mon down as you’re all invited to the cookout!

So which song are you listening to on the way?

Missouri Jobs With Justice stands with the Pharmacy Technicians at KU Health System because I support their right to have a voice on the job. An election decided by just a few votes should not leave 37 ballots sitting uncounted. Every worker deserves a fair election and every vote deserves to count.

The integrity of a representation election depends upon every eligible employee having their vote fairly considered. Any ballots cast by eligible voters during the authorized election period should not be excluded due to administrative error, mishandling, delay, or other circumstances beyond the con...

Allow us to reintroduce ourselves, our name is MOJWJ!!!

Maybe you met us at a rally or protest. Maybe you're a community activist or a member of a union or a congregation. Maybe you're one of those folks into making "good trouble" and holding our reps' feet to the fire.

No matter how we met, we want to introduce ourselves and invite you into the work!!!

Join us for the Missouri Statewide Welcome Meeting we’re hosting on Monday June 1, via Zoom, at 6 PM.

This meeting will be a great opportunity to find out what's happening right now, right in your back yard. Plus, you'll get to connect with your neighbors real-time with real ways to take action.

Want in on the fun? DM us for the link ...

MoJWJ is back from Atlanta and FIRED UP 🔥

Spent the last couple of days at Jobs with Justice's Workers Revive Democracy 2026 National Convention, convening with hundreds of labor organizers from across the country. We learned, strategized, chanted, and planned together in true solidarity.

Now we're heading back to Missouri, ready to do the work our communities deserve. The movement continues 🫡✊🏾

Public education advocates - have you heard the word? SURJ KC is now the EdEquity Collective!

While the name may have changed, the mission remains the same. EdEquity Collective is a group of everyday people organizing for racial equity in KC Metro schools, committed to building people power as accomplices alongside local grassroots efforts, and protecting access to safe and truthful public education for all.

That’s why we’re asking you to join us in supporting the EdEquity Collective in their first official action - the 6th Annual Teach Truth Day of Action.

There will be food, great speakers, calls to action, a short rally and more. RSVP here:
