Historic Sappington House Museum

Historic Sappington House Museum Non-profit Sappington House Foundation preserves the Federal-style Thomas Sappington House Museum, built during the presidency of Thomas Jefferson.

The park also includes Library of Americana, Loft Gift Shop and The Barn restaurant. The Sappington House Foundation is responsible for restoring and preserving this precious treasure, the Thomas Sappington House. Restoration began in 1963 and the home opened for public tours in 1966. The Foundation and the city of Crestwood maintain this National Historic Landmark site. Foundation volunteers offe

r guided tours of the Museum, assist in the library and staff the gift shop. Call 314-822-8171 to inquire about volunteer opportunities. A speaker service is available. The complex is open to guests February thru December. Visitors are encouraged to call and confirm hours of operations. Advance reservations for groups or special interest tours are required.

It's happening! Saturday, May 30th the Greensboro Country Rock Outdoor, Fundraising Concert will bring that peaceful easy feeling to Historic Sappington Park, 1015 S. Sappington Road 63126. Thank you to St. Louis Classic Rock Preservation Society for sponsoring the Greensboro band. Gate opens at 5 pm; concert 6 to 9 pm. FREE beer, soda or water while supplies last. Join us for a lovely evening with the big Motown sound of Nostalgia! This Friday, gates open at 5 pm, $20 adults. Fundraiser supports the reconstruction of the 1816 Joseph Sappington Log House as a rustic education/event center. FREE beer, soda and water while supplies last. The Spring weather will be delightful as you look at all the made with care delights for your own home and garden and/or gifts for the graduate, bride/groom, new mother or your special Mom. Come to our open-air fair this Saturday and Sunday, April 25th and 26th from 9 am to 3 pm to see antiques, arts and crafts, books, jewelry and more originals handmade by talented vendors.

Delicious food will be sold at The Barn restaurant. Live music will be performed by Lindbergh Middle School Fiddlers (Saturday noon) and FOOTERS Friends of Old-Time (Sunday noon).

FREE admission and parking at Crestwood Elementary School and south of the pond in the overflow lot off Reco Avenue. TWO-Days of shopping!
