YWCA Metro St. Louis

YWCA Metro St. Louis YWCA Metro St. Louis is the region's leading advocate for the safety, security and stability of women Established in 1904, YWCA Metro St. Louis.

Louis is dedicated to eliminating racism, empowering women and promoting peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all. We believe women and their families achieve their full potential and well-being in a world without discrimination. Louis began as an effort to provide housing and job training for rural women who had come to the city to work at the Worldโ€™s Fair. For nearly 120 years, YWCA has been

the backbone of womenโ€™s support services within our community, which helps our clients find paths to self-sufficiency through our programs that mentor, educate and propel women to their fullest potential. Louis is proud to offer assistance from the following programs: Head Start & Early Head Start and their families; Women's Resource Center and the Sexual Assault Response Team, which serves sexual assault and abuse survivors by offering crisis intervention support for victims, individual and group counseling, and a 24-hour Crisis Help Line (314-531-7273); Rapid Re-housing for those seeking safety from violence; Racial Justice programs; Women's Economic Stability Partnership that foster economic stability for women and their families. YWCA is a non-profit, tax-deductible organization, and a proud United Way of Greater St. To volunteer, donate, or for more information about the programs listed above, visit our website at www.ywcastl.org.

Families are at the heart of Head Start, and now theyโ€™re helping shape its future.

Parents Unite, a nationwide initiative led by the National Head Start Association, brings Head Start parents and caregivers together to speak directly with members of Congress about the impact of Head Start in their communities.

We are proud to share that YWCA Metro St. Louis parent Jessical Davis was among the first parents selected to represent Missouri at the inaugural Parents Unite gathering in Washington, D.C. in April 2026. Her voice and leadership help ensure families have a seat at the table in decisions that impact children, parents, and communities nationwide.

Healing can happen in community.

Join our Healthy Friendships Workshop on May 19 from 5:00โ€“6:30 PM as we explore how trauma can impact friendships and how to build safe, supportive, and positive connections after experiencing trauma. Through discussion, reflection, and interactive activities, survivors will have the opportunity to learn, grow, and connect with others in a supportive space.

This workshop is open to survivors ages 14+ and prior counseling is recommended.
