Missouri Veterans History Project

Missouri Veterans History Project The Missouri Veterans History Project (MVHP) interviews MO Veterans about their time in service. All of these groups provide their services without charge.

The Missouri Veterans History Project (MVHP) is a not-for-profit corporation organized to interview and record the stories of our veterans. Our nation’s veterans each have a unique perspective to share about our history. First-hand recollections of their service provide a richer and more personal context to historical accounts. MVHP was founded in 2011 by volunteers to record veterans’ stories. A

nine-member Board of Directors oversees and manages the MVHP organization. A hands-on supportive advisory group comprised of veterans’ organizations, the University of Missouri and other interested groups supports the board’s work. MVHP works closely with the national Veterans History Project, which is an effort of the American Folklife Center of the Library of Congress. Midwest Litigation Services provides the MVHP with videographers and interview transcriptions.

Our volunteers continue to march forward with the mission to collect oral histories of our nation's veterans. And, now, we can also arrange to include artifacts for the museum as well. We thank you for your support, and look forward to continuing a strong relationship with you and the museum. To learn more, visit
