Hey everyone, Pride is just around the corner and we're going to be out and about the whole month! We're looking forward to seeing you out at all these events so be sure to stop and say hello!

Unfortunately that means we're going to be just a little too busy to keep our regular event schedule unchanged, so the following events have been cancelled or rescheduled:

June 7th Garden Clean Up Day has been rescheduled to June 4th
June 13th Saturday Social Hours have been cancelled
June 27th Garden Clean Up Day has been cancelled
July 4th Skillshare Saturday has been cancelled

Hey everyone, we've got a busy weekend ahead of us, with Crafternoon on Saturday hosted by local artist and community member Rune, and our Community Picnic in Tower Grove Park on Sunday! We'll be grilling, and this will be a great opportunity to bring a potluck style side dish, not to mention your favorite picnic blanket and lawn game!

Today is Give STL Day, and this campaign runs until midnight.

You already helped us hit $510 in the early bird window. Every dollar from here goes to the same work we do every month: food for 30 households, bus passes for 10 people, support groups, and healthcare access for our community.

And we're getting closer to something we've been working toward for a long time. We're rebuilding Alix's Closet as an accessible boutique where our community can take those first steps in their transition.

Give what you can, and share this with someone who believes in what we're doing.

This Saturday is the second one this month, and that means that it's time for Saturday Social Hours once again! The forecast is excellent, and we're very much looking forward to seeing everyone out for another excellent day of good food and community!

Later this month on Sunday, May 17th, all of us here at the Metro Trans Umbrella Group will be hosting a Picnic from 11am-3pm in Tower Grove Park! We'll be grilling food and enjoying the weather and good company, so come join us!

Join MTUG this Saturday, May 2 for our first Skillshare Saturday! Local auto mechanic Ben will be teaching basic car maintenance from 1pm - 3pm, and will be available to answer your specific questions afterwards. Weather permitting, this event will be held outside at MTUG's community center.

Please note: This event is NOT a repair clinic. The instructor and attendees can share their knowledge and advice around the topic, but are not responsible for or expected to perform free repairs on vehicles.

Hey everyone, Nokie here. We've been hard at work strengthening the foundation of the org so it can last for years to come. Now we need to literally strengthen the foundation of our community center.

JT, our House Manager, already bat-proofed our eaves and now he's patching the cracks in the walls. But what he really wants to do is tear down the dilapidated garage in our backyard to build a new, accessible Alix's Closet where our community can shop in dignity.

Give STL Day is May 7 but early bird giving just opened. If you believe in the future MTUG is building, give what you can and help us keep this momentum going.

This Saturday for Crafternoon, local artist and community member Bobby will be teaching another class on drawing comics! This time the focus will be on proportions and drawing the human figure. The last class was a hit and we're sure this one will be as well. As always the event will start at 1 pm this Saturday, April 18th, and we look forward to seeing everyone!

Hey everyone, you may have seen our post last month about a new event, and we're happy to say that it went extremely well. Lots of folks were asking us if it would be a regular event, and the answer is yes! Saturday Social Hours will run from noon to 4:00 pm, on the second Saturday of the month, during which the center will be open for folks to hang out, play games, have some food, and exist in community. This Saturday is the next one and we can't wait to see everyone!
