Creating a safe place where young people can learn, explore, build relationships—and simply have FUN—is an important part of what we do at Northside.

🏀 Learning the game. Learning how to work.

Northside’s Big Game Officials Junior Academy is about more than making the right call.

Our youth are building discipline, confidence, communication, problem-solving, accountability, and the ability to perform under pressure—skills that matter on the court and in the workplace. 💼

They’re also learning side by side with certified officials who are working to advance into collegiate and professional leagues, giving our young people a front-row view of mentorship, growth, and what it takes to keep moving to the next level.

And after putting in the work, they have the opportunity to turn those skills into real paid employment as game officials. 💵👏🏾

Work hard. Learn the skill. Create the opportunity.

This progress reflects the leadership, commitment, and belief Shannon and our entire Board continue to bring to Northside and the community we serve. 💙
