To everyone who stood with me throughout this campaign, thank you. I am deeply grateful to our incredible volunteers, supporters, donors and campaign staff, who gave everything they had to run the strongest campaign we could have asked for. I sincerely congratulate all the newly elected officials and wish them success in serving our communities. Our work is far from over. At a time when too many are working to take away our freedoms and silence our voices. I will never stop fighting for the values we share and the future we deserve. As long as I have breath, I will continue that fight. Last but not least to my amazing, inspiring and brilliant Campaign Manager Sydni Jackson, you are a bad a.. organizer, your talent will not go unnoticed. I am honored to receive the endorsement of the St. Louis American in the race for Missouri Senate District 14.

The St. Louis American has been a trusted voice in our community for generations, and I am grateful for their confidence in my record of service and commitment to fighting for the people of St. Louis County.

Throughout my career — as a UAW electrician, labor leader, former Alderman, former State Representative, and civil rights leader — I have always believed that leadership means showing up, listening to our communities, and delivering results.

In the Missouri Senate, I will continue fighting for working families, protecting our rights, expanding opportunity, and making sure every voice in our district is heard.

This is what organizing looks like! Congratulations to Teamsters Local 688 on holding the line for 83 days for fair contract!

VICTORY! ✊

After 83 days on the picket line, our Teamsters at Breakthru Beverage stood strong, stayed united, and WON.

Today, the 56 members of Teamsters Local 688 overwhelmingly ratified a historic new contract after the company backed away from every proposal that threatened our core contract protections.

Together, our members secured:
✅ A 4-year agreement with strong wage increases
✅ Reopening Health & Welfare negotiations within 90 days
✅ Martin Luther King Jr. Day as a paid holiday
✅ 40 hours of paid sick leave
✅ A pathway for casual employees to earn seniority
✅ Most importantly, Breakthru withdrew every proposal targeting our longstanding Teamster contract language.

This victory wasn't handed to us—it was earned by every member who walked that picket line through the heat, rain, and uncertainty for 83 days. It was strengthened by the unwavering support of our fellow Teamsters, the labor movement, elected officials, and our community.

When workers stand together, we win.

Congratulations to every one of our members. You showed what solidarity looks like, and today you return to work stronger than ever.
