NWPC St. Louis

NWPC St. Louis The St. Louis Chapter of the National Women's Political Caucus Louis chapter of the National Women’s Political Caucus in 1971.

After a speech by Bella Abzug, Susan Block, Betty Van Uum, Ora Lee Malone, Marcia Mellitz, Sally Barker and Vivian Eveloff established a St. A year later, Caucus members recruited Sue Shear to run for the Missouri House. Since then, the National Women’s Political Caucus of Metro St. Louis has endorsed and supported more than 140 progressive women candidates. Last year, its Eastern Missouri Politic

al Action Committee (EMPAC) gave more than $15,000 in cash and in-kind donations to 18 Caucus-endorsed candidates. This page is designed to spread the word that we are still far from parity, with women making up just one-fourth of the Missouri legislature.

🏳️‍🌈 Happy Pride Month from NWPC–St. Louis! 🌈
This June, we proudly celebrate the LGBTQIA+ community and reaffirm our commitment to equality, dignity, and justice for all. At the National Women’s Political Caucus St. Louis, we believe everyone deserves to be seen, heard, valued, and represented, regardless of who they are or who they love.
Pride is a time to honor the trailblazers who paved the way, uplift the voices continuing the fight for equality today, and recommit ourselves to building a future where every person can live authentically and without fear.
Together, we celebrate love, embrace diversity, and stand in solidarity with our LGBTQIA+ friends, family, neighbors, and leaders.
💜 In solidarity. In celebration. In Pride.
