Big loss for our community! Dave was a great Deputy and even better person!

The employees of The Camden County Sheriff's Office, the students and staff of The Camden County School System, and the Community were deeply sadden this morning learning that School Resource Deputy Dave MIlls passed away. Deputy Mills began his law enforcement career at The Camden County Sheriff's Office in March of 2000 as a Corrections Officer. In 2006 he became a Patrol Deputy until becoming a St. Marys Police Officer. In 2018, Deputy Mills returned to The Camden County Sheriff's Office as a School Resource Deputy within the newly formed School Resource Division. Deputy Mills taught the Georgia Sheriff's Association C.H.A.M.P.S. program to fifth grade students of the Camden County School System. Deputy Mills, or DJ Dave, was very popular with the students, and staff, by always interacting with them each school day. The CHAMPS Program graduation saw DJ Dave playing music and clowning around with the students on their special day. Deputy Dave Mills is survived by two daughters, Ashton and Kaylyn, and a son, Andrew.

Kingsland Fire Rescue Volunteer firefighter's are holding and taking order for a BBQ dinner fundraiser, all proceeds go towards the volunteer firefighters. Please see attached flyer for more details. Congratulations to Firefighter/Paramedic Patrick Martin and wife Kerry on the birth of their daughter Mallory Lain Martin born today and weighing 7lbs 4ozs. Welcome to the world Mallory.
