We are continuing to monitor a weak area of tropical low pressure off of our coastline this morning (Invest 92L). This disturbance remains below tropical cyclone criteria at this time. The system has a chance to develop into a tropical depression today (about 60% per the National Hurricane Center), however the window for this will be short as it moves onshore this evening.

⚠️We are monitoring the Tropical Disturbance and will provide more information as needed. We expect rain and some wind moving into the weekend. If the weather becomes more concerning, we will let you know. Rest assured, the City of St. Marys and the Camden County Emergency Management are actively monitoring this activity and are prepared to respond if necessary.

As always, follow Camden County EMA for up-to-date weather alerts and information that may impact your area.

The entirety of the region is at risk again today for severe thunderstorms, with areas surrounding the I-10 corridor at an "enhanced" risk per the Storm Prediction Center. The first "round" of storms with this potential will be this morning, with a secondary "round" expected this afternoon.

⚠️ Stay Weather Aware today, don't let storms surprise you!⚠️

Proudly Serving Southeast Georgia for Over 7 Years

We’re glad to be Southeast Georgia’s source for weather information about our area.

One day, in March 2013, a “local” news station in Jacksonville displayed a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for several counties in Florida. What they didn’t mention is that they had intentionally removed both Camden and Charlton counties from the warning sent by the National Weather Service.

Not only did this endanger lives, it was definitive proof that Jacksonville news stations that claim to care about Georgia don’t. We received over 1000 likes in our first 72 hours, and we’ve been growing ever since.

As of March 2020, we’ve surpassed 17,000 followers -- mostly in part to our readers who take the time to like, comment, and share our posts. Without you, Facebook would limit our posts to maybe 100 of those 17,000+ followers.
