Winter Break Volunteers Needed! ❄️✨

We’re so close to bringing our nature trail and living outdoor classroom to life! Over the past few months, we’ve made huge progress — including finally having our parking lot completed 🙌 and our trail bridge installed. Now we just need some extra hands to help finish the last pieces so we can open to the community in 2026!

Winter break is the perfect time for:
✔️ Students who need volunteer/service hours
✔️ Anyone who wants to give back
✔️ Families looking for something meaningful to do together
✔️ Community members who love the outdoors

Volunteer tasks may include:
• Light trail cleanup
• Helping finish the bridge area
• Clearing brush/debris
• Marking trail paths
• Organizing and prepping future project areas

No experience needed — just a good attitude and a willingness to help!
Volunteers can choose flexible times during the break.

Carteret County isn’t just a place on the map — it’s a way of life. It’s generations of families who’ve worked the water, weathered every storm, and carried a quiet strength that outsiders rarely understand. The Seafood Festival in Morehead City was once a reflection of that — a celebration of the people and traditions that shaped this coast. But over time, the meaning has shifted. ✨ Christmas Angels Project – Partner With Us! ✨

This Christmas, Piney Point Trails and the Monica Adams Memorial Fund are launching our first annual Christmas Angels Project 🎄. Our goal is to bless children and families here in Downeast with gifts, care items, and holiday joy.

Right now, we’re reaching out to our community for:
🎁 Business & church partners to host Angel Trees or drop-off boxes
🎁 Sponsors & donors to help us fill wish lists
🎁 Community connections to spread the word

🌿✨ Volunteer Day: Clear the Way at Piney Point Trails! ✨🌿

We’re building something amazing, and we need YOU! Join us on Saturday, October 4, 2025, from 10 AM – 2 PM for our very first Piney Point Volunteer Day! We’ll be rolling up our sleeves to clear trees, brush, and debris so our new parking lot can take shape—and trust us, it’s going to be FUN!

This is your chance to:
🌲 Be part of building a nature trail from day one
💪 Get hands-on experience working with a community team
📜 Earn community service hours while having a blast outdoors
📸 Be part of the story—we’ll snap before & after photos of your hard work!

What to bring:
👟 Work shoes or boots
🧤 Gloves
💧 Water
🍎 Snacks

Have tools to share? On the sign-up form, let us know what you can bring—loppers, saws, wheelbarrows, or anything else! Every little bit helps.

No experience? No problem! All ages and skill levels welcome. We’ll provide safety gear and plenty of encouragement.
