Last week was a busy one for Stafford Fire Department. In addition to being dispatched to 35 calls, members trained on propane emergencies with High Grade Propane, we trained with mutual aid partners on UTV operations as well as provided standby coverage for the Moonlight Paddle. Several thank yous are in order: A big thank you to our dedicated members who volunteer much of their free time to keep the public safe. Thank you to the team at High Grade Propane for taking the time to walk us through your facility. Lastly, thank you to the Wales Fire Department for assisting us at the Moonlight Paddle, providing a crew and boat to help patrol the lake.

It's not something we like to admit, but winter happens EVERY year. So why not make the cold, hard winter a little easier, and enter our raffle for a new snowblower! On Monday night, firefighters from Stafford and West Stafford Fire Departments held a joint vehicle extrication drill. We practiced several different scenarios and utilized a variety of equipment. Drills like this are no small effort. A big thank you to Gary's Towing for providing vehicles, thank you to the members who spent their afternoon prepping the vehicles, and thank you to West Stafford Fire Department for hosting this drill at your station. Excellent work by all who attended!
