August 30, 2022 goes down in history as "Monica Riley Day" in Fort Bend County. Words can't express the fullness of my joy & to have so many of my dear & wonderful friends from all over Fort Bend County & my amazing daughters & loving father to be a part of my special day‼️

Today Cecil Willis Stafford City Mayor had the privilege of presenting Nambi Narayanan, the father of Cryogenic engineering in India, with a special proclamation in honor of his accomplishments and the release of the 2022 movie “Rocketry – The Nambi Effect”.
Narayanan studied chemical rocket propulsion at Princeton University with a fellowship from NASA in 1969 and introduced the liquid fuel rocket technology in India in the early 1970s. His theories in cryogenic engineering are still being used in the modern rocketry by the Indian Space Research Organization.
Joining us was Director and Actor R Madhavan, Mayor Pro Tem Ken Mathew, Councilwoman Virginia Rosas and Missouri City Mayor Robin Elackatt.
Tonight, Cecil Willis Stafford City Mayor presented Stafford Municipal School District School Board of Trustees with a proclamation declaring January as SMSD School Board Month. Thank you for all your dedication and hard work!
City of Stafford Mayor Cecil Willis thanks Gradient's Project Manager Stephanie Anderson, PE and members of the Gradient Roadway Design Group for designing the Cash Road Extension and the new Kirkwood Traffic Signal. Mayor Willis, Fort Bend County Commissioner Grady Prestage and other delegates cut the ribbon opening the new roadway extension which will significantly improve mobility in the area. Special thanks to Gradient teaming partners BGE, Inc. and Geotest Engineering, Inc. for their support on this important project.

HOLIDAY PET PANTRY UPDATE: Holiday cheer to Families in need in Stafford.
Pets like Delilah mean everything to their owner. Many pet families like Delilah's lined up hoping to receive meals for their beloved fur babies.
Thank you to the City of Stafford for partnering with us today in distributing 23,680 pet meals to pets from Stafford.
We want to give a special thanks to Cecil Willis Stafford City Mayor, Council Member & Mayor Pro-Tem Alice Chen, Council Member Virginia Rosas, and Stafford Animal Control's staff who help distribute pet food, supplies, and resources.
Every bag of pet food and dollar donated allows us to serve hundreds of pets every week. We rely on generosity to help keep our Pet Pantry stocked, please consider donating to help our mission --

Cecil will humbly serve you and our great city with vigor, ethics and integrity. Stafford, as most cities is experiencing the financial impact as a result of the pandemic. Cecil has a record of proven leadership & as a fiscal conservative stands ready to make the tough decisions necessary to guide Stafford through these tough times. Cecil is committed to "No Property Tax" & will always work with the business community to expand revenues & be open to new ideas that will increase monies without adding hidden fees to the residents.

Tonight was a great night for the Stafford MSD Homecoming Parade at the SMSD Facilities. City Council, School Board and SMSD Superintendent Dr. Bostic came out to celebrate with the students and faculty of SMSD. .

I would like to recognize Cecil Willis for his commitment to the Stafford community. The Stafford High School FFA stable & barn has been torn down to make room for a new structure. Cecil allowed the students to use his farm to raise their cattle and pigs for this year's competitions. Along with a place to raise their animals the high school students gained access to his years of experience. Thank you Cecil for your generosity.
