“Tara Durant has been a stalwart supporter of law enforcement and an effective voice for our community. At a time when our profession is facing unprecedented challenges, it is crucial to have leaders like Tara in Richmond backing the blue. She is the candidate I trust to defend law and order and keep Virginia safe."
- Stafford County Sheriff David Decatur
It is a true honor to have the support of law enforcement heroes like Sheriff Decatur, who has dedicated his life to protecting and serving our community.
Please give our campaign a boost by making a donation before the critical 2022 fundraising deadline --> https://secure.winred.com/friends-of-tara-durant/decatur

I want to wish Laura Rudy Stafford County Treasurer a happy retirement and give her a tip of the cap for a job well done.
For the last 15 years she has served Stafford County citizens with honor and dignity. Laura came to Stafford County with a wealth of banking experience and a love for this community.
Just a few of her accomplishments include implementing the award winning My Stafford Customer Portal, expanding DMV Select services and becoming the first Stafford County Treasurer to be elected President of the Treasurers’ Association of Virginia.
While I often joke that I had a “tough job training her,” the truth is that I learned just as much from her as she ever did from me.
Please join me in thanking Laura for her public service and wish her well as she enjoys her much deserved retirement.
I have been honored with the absolute privilege to serve the citizens of Stafford County these past 4 terms as Treasurer. I have enjoyed every moment and I am proud of the many accomplishments during my tenure. Serving on various Treasurer Association of Virginia committees and being selected as their President by its members was an honor and the first for any Stafford County Treasurer.
Having reflected on what I consider as the pinnacle of my career, I am ready to spend more time with my family and am announcing that I will not seek re-election as the Stafford County Treasurer in 2023.
I have been blessed beyond measure and want to thank the Stafford Treasurer TEAM that has supported me and been part of the vast accomplishments we have achieved together to serve the citizens.
Tara Durant is one of the most effective freshmen legislators I have ever worked with. She understands how to get things done and has always been there to help anyone in need.
I am excited to see the change she can effect in the Senate.
It’s official - the Republican Primary for the new 27th Virginia Senate District will be held on June 20th, 2023!
This is a must-win seat to flip the Virginia Senate and end the Democrats' obstruction of Governor Youngkin's conservative agenda. Every grassroots donation will help us build a winning team - and our next fundraising deadline is coming up on December 31st.
Please pitch in $10, $25 or whatever you are able to support our campaign and send a Republican majority to the Virginia Senate: https://secure.winred.com/friends-of-tara-durant/its-official

Stafford County, once again, has achieved the rare feat of achieving AAA bond ratings from all three of the major bond rating agencies: Moody’s, Fitch and S&P. This is a major accomplishment that speaks to the financial health and well being of Stafford County government and means lower taxes for taxpayers.
Last week, Moody’s Investment Services announced it has reaffirmed Stafford County’s AAA bond rating. This rating is not simply coveted and prestigious, it’s rare. There are currently only 12 nations
The Office of Stafford County Sheriff strikes again!!!😂😂😂😂
Thank you Tara Durant for Senate for working to formally end this sad chapter in our history.
No small business, restaurant, or law-abiding Virginian should be targeted or harassed by unelected bureaucrats because of the Northam administration’s overreaching and devastating COVID-19 lockdown orders.
I look forward to working with Governor Youngkin and carrying this legislation at his request.

I am proud to be a part of Stafford’s outstanding financial management team. Less than 50 counties in the nation can claim the honor of achieving a triple AAA bond rating.
Moody's reaffirmed Stafford's AAA bond status recently. Stafford is one of only 49 counties and 31 cities across the nation that have a AAA bond rating from all three major rating agencies. Having an excellent bond rating allows Stafford to borrow at lower rates, saving millions. Read more: https://staffordcountyva.gov/news_detail_T5_R655.php

Another great Staffordian has passed. Though not born or raised in Stafford County, C.M. Williams contributions were immeasurable.
He, along with some of the finest board members I’ve ever known, helped guide Stafford through the difficult transition from a small rural community to a thriving suburb to the modern county we live in today.
Stafford County stands as one of less than 50 Counties in the country to achieve the coveted Triple-AAA bond rating. We are top-20 in median income nationally. Our staff prides itself in offering dedicated and professional customer service to all of Stafford’s citizens.
All of this can be traced to the fountain built by leaders like CM Williams.
God speed Mr. Williams, your work here is finished.
Stafford County mourns the passing of former County Administrator C.M. Williams, Jr. Williams served as County Administrator from 1984 to 2003. Williams helped lead the county through a time of great change and population growth. He was also instrumental in helping protect historic treasures from development and designing the George L. Gordon, Jr. Government Center. https://staffordcountyva.gov/news_detail_T5_R632.php

🤷🏻♂️ I sold my car last summer but It’s still on my tax bill? Answers to this and other of life’s mysteries. 🚗 💵 🤔 Did you know that both state and local law requires you to notify the Commissioner of the Revenue’s office within 60-days of obtaining or disposing of a vehicle? If you are relying on the DMV or a car dealer to notify us of a change then you are relying on the DMV or a car dealer for the accuracy of your tax bill. 😱😱😱 #StaffordCounty #nowyouknow
Your 2nd Half Personal Property tax bill is in the mail! Remember that your 2020 personal property bill will look a little different this year. It includes an increase to cover the 2019 voter-mandated road bond costs and NO MORE VLF! The road bond passed in 2019 by 76%. Repaying that loan amounted to a $.58 tax increase.
