DMV Connect Returns to Stafford County Administration Building

The Stafford County Treasurer’s Office is pleased to announce the return of DMV Connect to the Stafford County Administration Building on June 24, 2026, from 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM in the ABC Conference Room.

DMV Connect expands the service offerings of DMV Select, providing residents with a convenient way to handle essential DMV transactions. Available services include:
• REAL ID compliance
• Driver’s licenses and identification cards
• Disabled parking placards
• Vital records, such as birth, death, marriage, and divorce certificates
• Online franchise dealership transactions
• Mechanic and storage lien titles

DMV Connect is a full-service program designed to bring DMV services directly to the community, ensuring accessibility and efficiency for residents.

Tax payments are due today. If you forgot to mail your payment you can pay online at https://staffordcountyva.gov/epay or drop your payment in the drop box at the government center. Payments in the box before midnight 6/6 will be processed as on time.

First half Personal Property and Real Estate tax payments are due by June 5th 2026.

If you failed to receive your bill, you can access your new bill online at https://staffordcountyva.gov/epay using a previous bill or call the Treasurer’s office at 540-658-8700.

All citizens are encouraged to schedule their payment online or use one of the following methods to protect yourself from a late payment due to a late postmark.

1. Buy your postage at the counter: The printed PVI label at the post office will have a date of acceptance.
2. Ask for a manual postmark: You can have your pre-stamped mail, hand stamped at the post office counter with a postmark.
3. Purchase a Certificate of Mailing: This comes at additional cost, but provides evidence that your mail was accepted at the post office by a certain date.

Personal Property and Real Estate tax bills have been mailed to Stafford residents.

First half property tax payments are due by June 5th 2026.

If you failed to receive your bill by May 20th, you can access your new bill online at https://staffordcountyva.gov/epay using a previous bill or call the Treasurer’s office at 540-658-8700.

If a mortgage company is paying your real estate bill, you will not receive a paper bill, but may view your bill online.

Our online provider is InvoiceCloud, so you may receive emails or texts from them which are legitimate regarding your tax bill.

Passport Services at Stafford County Treasurer’s Office

Beginning June 8, 2026, Stafford County Treasurer's Office will officially open as a Passport Acceptance Facility, providing residents with a convenient option for passport services.

The new service will allow residents to apply for first-time passports, renew passports for minors, replace lost or stolen passports, and complete other passport-related transactions locally at the Treasurer’s Office.
