Through supervised visits, peer support, and hospital sitting, I’ve witnessed how powerful simple connection can be for a child. Sometimes it’s not the toys, the words, or even the setting they remember most… It’s feeling safe. Feeling seen. Feeling held emotionally in difficult moments. Some children are navigating transitions no child should have to carry alone. And in those moments, compassion matters.
