The Stafford Police Department wants to give a shout-out to the local youth for making Halloween night in Stafford a fun time again!

We want to thank our young community for bringing your energy, creativity, and (mostly) harmless mischief out into the streets — you made it a night we will talk about for a while in a good way.

We know you guys had some help from the adult community as well…. but we understand you all are new to the Halloween mischief game for the most part. You youngsters will figure it out in years to come, just remember actions do have consequences… especially after midnight!

It was really good to see the youth out in force having fun hiding in the shadows, driving golf carts around to light off fireworks and just being kids.

While we don’t condone the burning of hay bales on the streets, this was the adult help from the community (OLD SCHOOL MISCHIEF), we do appreciate everyone keeping it in the middle of the street and not causing damage to anyone’s property, we really enjoyed seeing everyone having a good time.

It’s nights like these that remind us what community spirit is all about — laughter, a little bit of chaos, a little bit of adult suggestiveness and everyone looking out for each other.

Thanks for keeping it fun, fairly safe and spirited. Looking forward to you youngsters running around town next year and we may even help provide you with some new tricks!!

Stay safe and stay awesome!

Thanks!
