Congratulations to the Mountain View Varsity wrestling team for their outstanding performance at the 2023 NOVA wrestling tournament! It's incredible to see the team's hard work and dedication pay off with a first-place finish among 29 schools.
A special shoutout to the six MVHS wrestlers who clinched first place in their weight classes (126, 138, 144, 157, 165, & 190), as well as to the additional three wrestlers who showcased their skills and earned medals (3rd -106 & 150; 6th - 175 & 285). Your perseverance and talent truly shined throughout the tournament!
Kudos to two individuals who received the most pins in the tournament and "Most Valuable Wrestler" of the tournament!
Way to go, MVHS wrestlers! Your dedication and sportsmanship are an inspiration to us all. Keep up the amazing work!

The Stafford County School Board is currently taking applications to serve on each of its Advisory Committees for the 2024 calendar year. The application process is open from August 31, 2023, through December 20, 2023.
If selected, members will serve a two-year term. There is no prohibition against serving on more than one committee at the same time. Stafford County Public Schools invites all students to participate in the second annual anti-bullying campaign contest celebrating National Bullying Prevention Month in October. Students will design projects based on grade level. All projects must answer the question, "How can Stafford Schools Create a World Without Bullying?" Elementary School ($50 prize) Create an 8.5x11" poster Middle School ($100 prize) Create a two-minute video High School ($250 prize) Create a 500-word essay Contest entries must be submitted to www.staffordschools.net/antibullying by Friday, October 27. Winners will be notified on Thursday, November 9th, and honored at the November 14th School Board meeting. The Stafford Education Foundation sponsors prizes.
