It is with heavy hearts and a profound sense of loss that we share the passing of our dear friend and Stafford Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary Life Member, Mickey Kwiatkowski.

Mickey served on the SVFD Auxiliary for almost 30 years and was the long-time Treasurer, handling funds and assisting with scholarships, among many other duties. More than that, Mickey was our friend, confidant, shoulder to lean on, and constant bright spot.

Mickey was loved by all who knew her, and will be missed immensely.

The Wawa Foundation has announced the four finalists in Northern VA, Central VA & Hampton Roads/the Peninsula for The Wawa Foundation Hero Awards.

SVFD Co2 is one of the finalists! As a finalist, SVFD Co 2 is now a part of the award presentation/celebration and have already earned a $5,000 grant from The Wawa Foundation!!

We now need the community and public to vote on the Hero Award winner to receive a $20,000 grant, from now through December 4 by visiting the below website!

The Wawa Foundation Hero Awards are an honor that will be given to non-profit organizations serving Virginia that assist others and build stronger communities through preserving our independence, protecting our safety and mentoring and inspiring our youth. The Awards are part of Wawa’s 20th anniversary in the Commonwealth, marking two decades of service since the opening of our first store in the state of Virginia.

Unfortunately, the Poker run has been cancelled due to weather conditions deteriorating and multiple road closures that will effect the route that was set up.

Meeting F&I at Co2 in the morning at 9-am to turn in ticket stubs.
Fire & Iron will do the drawing tomorrow night at their scheduled event and announce the winner.
