Just a reminder that our annual BBQ supper will be this Saturday October 14 at 11 AM until sold out. We will be doing take out only and it will be $10 per plate and $10 per pound. We hope you will come out to support us in this fundraiser for our organization.

We will be hosting a Fire Ground Ops 1 class starting tomorrow night June 20th at 7 PM at Station 7. Class will run Tuesday and Thursday nights, Eli Wood is the instructor for the class.

The City of Graham Fire Department will be hosting a NC Driver Operator EVD (FIP3600) course that includes all material required to obtain NC Driver Operator EVD certification. These classes will take place in June 2022.

All classes will be held at the Graham Fire Department located at: 201 S. Main St. Graham, NC 27253

Registration deadline 72hrs prior to the course. All registration is on a first come first serve basis due to seating availability.

Last night for training crew spent the evening learning about portable extinguishers in the fire service. We had a short lecture and then we were able to set some fires allowing new and senior members to utilize one of the tools we carry on our apparatus. We carry 3 types of fire extinguishers on our apparatus and must be trained to use each one so if we need to use them on an incident we are prepared to do so. Great job done by all members that were in attendance!

A FEMA strike team consisting of 3 ALS ambulances arrived in Chatham County today to support FirstHealth of the Carolinas Chatham EMS for the next several weeks. The units will have radio call signs of 1776, 1777, and 1781 and will be responding to 9-1-1 calls in addition to our FirstHealth EMS crews. They are part of a 50-ambulance strike team deployed to EMS systems across NC.

Today we had the great honor to show tribute to Asheboro Battalion Chief Chris Hoover as he was moved back home after losing his battle with COVID. Our deepest condolences go to his family, Asheboro Fire, and Tabernacle Fire. Rest easy brother, we will take it from here.

Congratulations to member Felix Vicente on being the department’s firefighter of the year. Tonight we held our annual Christmas party where he was awarded his plaque for this great achievement.
