WE NEED YOUR HELP !!!
We have miss placed an ESSENTIAL piece of equipment, Since our unfortunate structure fire Sunday morning. Our personnel are unable to locate a thermal imaging camera that our personnel use on every fire call. This piece of equipment is a vital part of our rescue operations. If you have located it either on scene at the fire or possibly along side the road between the fire scene and the fire station somewhere on North Chatham Ave. Please return it to us. IF YOU ARE IN POSSESSION OF IT PLEASE RETURN IT ! NO QUESTIONS ASKED ON HOW YOU ACQUIRED IT !!!

With heavy hearts we ask for our community to send prayers for a family that has lost two members this morning in an early morning house fire and one family member that was transported to the hospital with burns. We pray for the injured and we mourn the loss of our fellow citizens. We also ask for prayers for all the responders who worked tirelessly to perform rescues. Thank you to our auto aid Departments Silk Hope Fire Department, Staley Fire Department, Bennett Fire Department, First Health of the Carolina’s, Siler City Police Department, Chatham County Fire Marshals Office and Chatham County Sheriff’s Office victim services. And we can not leave out or AWESOME tele-communicators on duty working the fire channel that relayed all info to us and dispatched units and additional resources. Location is not being released yet as additional family notifications are being conducted.

Cause is under investigation at this time.

Applications for at large director for Staley Fire dept board are available for pickup at the fire department. Applications must be returned by May 15 in a sealed envelope. Voting will take place at the annual meeting on June 1, 2026 at 7 pm at the Staley Fire Dept.
