The Stallion Springs Community Emergency Response Team General Meeting is this Wednesday, May 27th, at 6:30 p.m. The public is welcome to attend. Come learn how we help the community in the event of a disaster/emergency!

The meeting will be in the CERT Building, located directly behind the community center.

This month’s training will cover emergency web-based and app alert resources, such as Nixle, ReadyKern, Genasys Protect, Pulse Point, and Watch Duty. We will also conduct a debriefing of the recent CERT training course.

And congratulations to our 2026 students on completing the CERT training! Thank you to the SSCERT and community members that made this year's training a success!

Want to help our 2026 SSCERT students earn their certification? We need volunteer actors to play "disaster victims" this Saturday afternoon May 16! It's easy and fun! Volunteers under 18 need to be accompanied by a parent/guardian.

The Stallion Springs Community Emergency Response Team training orientation/introduction is tonight! Please come learn about the purpose of CERT and how it functions in communities. Tonight will feature videos, discussion, Q&A and displays of CERT equipment and go-bags.

Want to help your community when it needs it the most? Make friends too? The Stallion Springs Community Emergency Response Team needs you! Basic training to become a certified CERT member starts soon!

Training is free! Introduction/orientation is April 29, 6pm at the CSD board room. Classes will take place the following three Saturdays. Reserve your spot by emailing us at [email protected] or visit stallionspringscert.org for more info.

The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) program is a FEMA sponsored initiative that educates volunteers about disaster preparedness for the hazards that may occur where they live. CERT trains volunteers in basic disaster response skills, such as:
Fire safety
Light search and rescue
Team organization
Disaster medical operations
The CERT program offers a consistent, nationwide approach to volunteer training and organization that professional responders can rely on during disaster situations, allowing them to focus on more complex tasks.

This is a reminder of the upcoming SSCERT General Meeting that will take place on Wednesday, February 25. The meeting will start at 6:30 PM and will be held at the CSD in the Boardroom. The public is welcome and encouraged to attend.

We'll be announcing the winning name of our mascot, and the winner of an emergency preparedness bag!

We will also have information about the SSCERT certification training happening in April. Come learn how you can become a valuable asset to the community during an emergency/disaster.

This month's training topic will be: Fog Safety.
