Over the last month, we have grown into a broad, diverse, and bipartisan coalition of Stamford residents: homeowners, renters, students, citizen advocates, faith leaders, elected officials, small business owners, and so many more community members. Despite an onslaught of misleading attacks from the ballot question proponents, we knocked on doors, called, held community events, and tried to reach as many of our neighbors as possible to ensure that Stamford residents prevailed through a grassroots campaign fueled by a positive vision for this city we all proudly call home.

Last night, the people of Stamford spoke loud and clear: We want a future for the city we love that is truly inclusive, affordable, and welcoming to everyone no matter their income or neighborhood! Thank you to everyone who played a role in this victory. There is more work to do, but the message sent last night will ensure that Stamford's progress can continue in a rational and respectful approach.
