It is truly heartwarming to see children so young choosing to give back and help the animals in our care. Their kindness, compassion, and hard work will make a difference for the dogs and cats waiting for their forever homes.

This adorable sweet girl is about 9 weeks old and is almost ready to find her forever family! Like most kittens, Lilly is full of playful energy, curiosity, and endless entertainment. She would thrive in a home with another young cat to play, cuddle, and grow up with. If you're looking to add a sweet, fun-loving kitten to your family, Lilly may be the perfect match!

🦌🌿 FAWN SEASON IS HERE! 🌿🦌

Over the last few weeks, we have received several calls about fawns being found throughout our city. Late spring and early summer is the time of year when fawns are born, and it’s important to remember that a fawn found alone is usually NOT abandoned.

🦌 Mom often leaves her fawn hidden for up to 24 hours at a time while she searches for food. She will return to nurse and care for her baby when she feels it is safe.

If you come across a fawn:
✅ Observe from a distance
✅ Keep pets and people away
✅ Leave the fawn where you found it
✅ Contact animal control or a licensed wildlife rehabilitator only if the fawn appears injured, sick, or is in immediate danger

A fawn’s best chance of survival is often right where it is. Please help us keep Stamford’s wildlife safe by giving these little ones the space they need. 💚

Marcello arrived at our shelter when he was just about 5 weeks old, and now at approximately 10 weeks old, he's almost ready to find his forever family!

This adorable little guy is full of energy, curiosity, and kitten antics. Whether he's chasing toys, exploring new places, or zooming around with excitement, Marcello is always ready for fun! Because of his playful personality, Marcello would thrive in a home with another young, active cat who can keep up with his kitten adventures and help him continue to grow and learn. 🐾
