The Greene County Victim Witness Program had a very exciting day today!!😃

Our Program Director, Ashley Burruss, had the opportunity to present to the Jefferson Area Board for Aging (JABA) community members about the services our program provides and the ways we support victims throughout our community.

We appreciate the warm welcome and the opportunity to share resources, answer questions, and connect with community partners who are dedicated to helping others. A big thank you to JABA for having us! 🫶

We were also happy to share a few goodie cups with attendees as a small token of our appreciation for their time and interest!😃💜

May is Mental Health Awareness Month 💚

The Greene County Victim Witness Program knows that healing isn’t one-size-fits-all, and even small steps matter. Self-care can look different every day, and that’s okay!!😊

Try our self-care bingo board and see what feels right for you. ✨

Take what you need, leave what you don’t, and remember: you’re not alone.

💚The things that we tell ourselves matter. Repeating positive affirmations, even something as simple as the phrases on this post, can help to build confidence, reduce stress, and support healing over time.

Take a moment to read them, say them, and believe them. 💚

💚May is Mental Health Awareness Month💚

For many individuals impacted by crime or trauma, healing is not a straight path. Some days may feel manageable, while others feel more difficult, and both are a normal part of the healing process.

There is no “right” way to cope, and no set timeline for recovery. What matters is finding support that works for you and taking things one step at a time.

If you or someone you know is struggling, help is available. You are NOT alone!!
