Mrs. Lotterhos’s 8th grade language arts classes spent Friday honoring Dolly Parton and learned about Imagination Library. Students learned about her life and what led to her passion of getting books in the hands of all children. They reflected on ways they could make their own school community better and what it means to be a good human. 🦋 ♥️

All students have been issued barcoded ID cards that will allow them to swipe for all kinds of school activities, including riding the bus, getting breakfast and lunch, checking out library books, and attending school events.

Please note the current issued cards will be traded in for IDs with student photographs after school picture day.

Please remind your children to keep their IDs safe, either on the school-provided lanyard or in a wallet or backpack.

We're so excited for our first home football game tomorrow night! 🏈

Families, before Friday evening, please review these important reminders with your children:

Students may not remain on school property after dismissal while waiting for the game. This includes the school building, sports complex, playgrounds, and surrounding school grounds. All students should go home after school and return for the game, which begins at 7:00 PM.

WMMS students will receive school IDs during lunch on Thursday and Friday. Students who enter through the main gate near the primary school and present their school ID will receive a discounted student ticket price.

All high school athletic events are now cashless. Please plan accordingly when purchasing admission and concessions.

This week, students in Lego Robotics with Mr. Hale have been learning why making prototypes of a product is important. They built a “Hopper” with instructions and then had to modify the build and the programming on their own to improve the speed and distance the robot could travel.
