11.23.19 FOUND IN STANDISH, MAINE

This girl was brought into the Animal Refuge League of Greater Portland. She was found walking down the side of the Ossippee Trail West Road by Lakeland Collision Center in Standish. If this is your dog, please contact the shelter at 207-854-9771.

Hello to those Standish, MAINE individuals and business associates who remain interested in continuing to build Standish, to be a great place, to work, play and live!

Believe me I know it has been awhile since there has been an update on this FB page from the SEDAG.

WHY? The SEDAG, which was a leg off of the Lake Region Chamber, dissolved for a number of reasons. I, as one of the leaders at the time, developed Breast Cancer, and I have been on a ride ever since, coming up on 4 years. PROUD SURVIVOR and doing VERY well!

I am now getting ready to come back in a big way in 2019. As I have a huge passion to help others and share my diverse business and life experiences to helps others' journey a little easier. I thought it would be appropriate to start setting the stage with this great video.

Great news.... there is a new team coming together and we are gaining momentum! PLEASE COME to our NEXT meeting Thursday, May 18th, 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM Sharp. In the Whatchic Lake Room at the Standish Town Hall. We are trying to rotate the meetings every third Thursday of the month between evening hours and morning hours. HELP US Make Standish Thee Place to live, grow and do business!

Happy Friday Eve.........Hopefully that catches your attention!

It has been a VERY long time since there has been a post on this FB page. SOOO today is the day!

This FB page will remain focused on making Standish a great place to live, work and play! With PLAY being an important element of an awesome place to live.......(READ ON)!

I am pleased to inform you that we are working on a fun "Give it Back" event!! This will be located at Colonial Marketplace (Hannaford's plaza). AND we are looking to offer on a first come first served basis - 20 Standish businesses an opportunity to "Give it Back!" to Standish. We will be having a six piece country band, "Hurricane Mountain" there with a few other fun ideas.

WHEN: August 5th from 2:00 to 7:00pm. The band will be there from 4:00 to 7:00pm.

HOW do you get on the list?
Please call Kevin Gagnon at 207-841-5777. The deadline for expressing your interest in participating is Thursday, June 29th. You must let him know how you would like to "Give it Back!".
You will have enough space for an 8 foot long table. AND we will be doing some free advertising for your participation.

This event is FREE to the public and FREE to you as a small business owner in Standish. HOWEVER, you must contact Kevin on a first come, first served basis by 6/29. Only 20 businesses will be allowed the opportunity.

Good Morning SEDAG! - ALL SMALL BUSINESS OWNERS!!!

This email is a REMINDER that we have our monthly meeting on April 8th from 5:30 to 6:30pm at the Maine Street Grill. There will be a set up for us on the 3rd floor, with some very light snacks.

PLEASE spread the word to other local Standish businesses to come and join us! All are welcome!

We will be discussing the sign ordinance issue – as well as other issues that are affecting Standish businesses that we can take lead action on.

Any of you with pages should send an invite out that way! On LinkedIn? – invite your connections that are from the area!

We are trying this new time frame to see if it generates a larger crowd.

Today is an exciting day….the team plans on bringing visual awareness to the hopefully future Standish sidewalks. We will be "Flagging" the proposed sidewalks today!!!

At 2:00 we be doing a fun photo. Please join us in Standish at Col. Marketplace (Hannaford Plaza) in front of the Carry Out Restaurant and State Farm building.

THE VOTE is coming……JUNE 10th!
